Antwerp: 'Twerpen 'til the Beer's All Gone

 

We spent our free day in Belgium, and because Belgium heard I was coming, they threw a beer festival in my honor. What a splendid surprise.

 

Antwerp has one of the most lovely train stations I've ever seen. Belgium is the country where l'Art Nouveau lives. I've been two Antwerp twice now, but I've yet to visit the golden triangle.

 

We tried, but then a surprise beer fest happened...and...well...there's always next time.

 

Our major order of business: waffles, chocolates and beer. 
 

A lovely side trip to end our week.
