Scheveningen
A city with a tremendous boardwalk that is deconstructed every winter and reconstructed in the spring, what spring break trip would be complete without a trip to the beach? In this case, the North Sea, a bit too cold for a swim.
We had a wonderful dinner on the boardwalk, and a visit with the trip's touring professionals granted an opportunity to have candid conversation about the housing system back in New Castle County.
The city boasts the Kurhaushotel, built c. 1885 by German architects Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf and Friedrich Ebert. It was completely restored in the 1970s. I have a suspicion that it was built for sea bathing, but I've yet to find proof.
